Anita Kyalimpa aka Fabiola resigned from her job at NTV as a host for the Sunday evening ‘Be My Date‘ show due to her nude photos that leaked. Fabiola is a second year student at Makerere University pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Journalism and Communication.
With much said about Fabiola, one would expect her classmates or course mates to feel mercy for her. But Alas! the former Be My Date host is being crucified by her own classmates while others have divided opinions about the gorgeous presenter.
Most of the students Campus Times interviewed claimed that they didn’t know Fabiola was a student at Makerere University or even a course mate.
Rugambwa Ivan, a third year student at the Department of Journalism and Communication Makerere University said he didn’t know that she was a course mate.
“I neither knew (she was studying Journalism) nor was I a friend with her, ” he said.
Students ahead of Fabiola (Third and fourth years) shared similar opinions about her save for one, Matela Viola, a third year student.
“I went to the same primary school with Anita but she was a classmate with my sister. She is a great person, I see her in big positions at a young age,” she said.
”But for her nudes, I think she has learnt her lesson and made up her mind to change and stay away from things that tarnish her reputation. We don’t like what she did…… Period, ” concluded Matela.
Fabiola’s class representative, Nyondwa Aggrey instead confessed of his adoration for the TV personality.
”I was so happy and proud of her. I always looked up to her, balancing work and class is one thing she had mastered. But with things turning around, I was disappointed, she had stopped coming to class and there were the nudes!
“But personally, I don’t hold her in contempt because she didn’t mean any of that to happen.”
This prompted a comment from his colleague who jokingly alleged ‘Nudes are only for UCU students’.
