Victoria University will soon introduce courses in artificial intelligence and robotics, the University Vice Chancellor revealed.
While speaking at the 4th graduation ceremony at the Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort, Mr Krishna Sarma said they will be introducing the specialized courses soon.
“The faculty is working round the clock to bring in real training possibilities in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, information security and computer forensics,” Mr Sharma said.
Mr Krishna Sarma also added on that the university is working at introducing a centre for Languages that will cover French, English, and Chinese.
“Our Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is set to launch a fully-fledged language Centre which will be teaching English, French, and Chinese language,” Mr Sharma said.
At the ceremony on Friday last week, 50 students were passed out and the best performing students awarded. Among these include a one Allen Shayam from the faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences emerged as the best student with a CGPA of 4.93.
Patrick Wafuka came second with a CGPA of 4.64 while Sadam Asema from the faculty of Science and Information Technology had a CPGA of 4.61.
On presiding, the Vice-Chancellor urged graduands to go and shine in the outside by showing their skills and promote the image of Victoria University.
“Go out and change the world starting with the mindset. Show the world how fruitful it is to study at Victoria University,” he said. “You are ambassadors of Victoria University and don’t be afraid to showcase your skills in this fast-changing world.”
