“Pope Francis will be the third Supreme Pontiff to visit Uganda, no other country in Africa has had such a privilege,” Reverend Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, the Archbishop of Kampala and the spokesperson of Uganda Episcopal Conference said.

He said the Pope’s visit to Uganda is primarily Pastoral and spiritual and he thus encouraged the Catholics to prepare in a special way in order to worthily receive his (Pope’s) blessings.

“Do acts of charity towards the poor, practice works of penance, seek reconciliation and love one another  the way Christ loves us (John 13:34)”, the Archbishop said.
