University Football League: Makerere continues with winning streak, Ndejje beats Nkumba

A well organized Ndejje University beat Nkumba at home 2-1 to increase their chances of qualification to the next stage in the first quarter final of the University Football League.

Muhumuza Emmanuel striked for Ndejje just before half time from the spot at the right hand of Joseph Yiga after Douglas Muganga brought down Onek Alfred. Nkumba goalkeeper Yiga couldn’t do enough to save the situation.

Wasswa Alex immediately equalized at the beginning of the second half before Muyaja Isaac shot from the 18 yard box to the rooftop to put Ndejje in the lead once again. The away goal will play a vital factor in Nkumba’s quest.

Makerere University on the hand beat KIU 2-1 away from home to continue with their unbeaten run in this year’s UFL edition.

Kazibwe Simon gave Makerere the lead at the restart of the second half before Munyawanyi Ibrahim equalized from the spot. Kasoma Dan immediately restored sanity to the game.

The return leg takes place on 8th October.
