Students of the Taraba State University Nigeria have expressed joy as the management banned the sale of handouts and textbooks by lecturers.
The management, on Thursday, also announced a ban on the collection of unauthorized dues from the students.
The announcement, contained in a circular, was made through the office of the school registrar and signed by Yakubu D Fwa, Deputy Registrar, Academics.
It said any lecturer caught flouting the directive would be brought to book.
Some of the students, who could not hide their excitement, described the action of the school authority as the best Sallah gift they have ever received.
They urged the authorities not to relent in checking the lecturers as some of them would still go ahead to secretly force their handouts or textbooks on the students.
