Uganda’s Quiin Abenakyo declared Miss World Africa

Quiin Abenakyo,Uganda’s 22 year old Makerere University student finished second in the conducted Miss World contest in Sanya China on Saturday.

Abenakyo first made history as the only Ugandan to make it to the top 30 contestants before even making it to the top 5.

The Makerere University second year student beat Mauritius’ Anne Murielle to emerge as Miss African continent.

Beautiful Vanessa from Mexixo emerged as Miss World while Limsnukan Nicolene from Thailand finished 1st runner up.

Abenakyo was declared Miss Uganda 2018 at Kampala Sheraton Hotel before making it to the World finals in China.

The now most beautiful woman in Africa went past Argentina’s Victoria Soto in her presentation in China.

In her presentation, she drummed up support for the girl child in a project she called “Fighting Teenage Pregnancies.”

She becomes the first Ugandan to be named Miss World Africa.
