Students’ leaders, under the umbrella of  the Uganda National Students Association(UNSA) have joined the struggle for the fight for the Kyandondo East member of Parliament, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine’s Freedom.

The student’s body claimed that the manner in which BobiWine was arrested and detained in a military barracks is illegal and the former should therefore released and go back to his people(constituency).

UNSA further condemned the nature in which the law enforcers have been brutally arresting suspects and journalists of recent.

The students have pledged to boycott lectures for a week if their fellow youth, Bobi Wine is not set free.

These have joined thousands of other protesters  calling-upon the Government to release the not only Bob Wine but also all others detained following the end of the Arua Municipality by-election, last week.

Kyagulanyi was arrested and detained in Makindye military barracks over cases of illegal possession of harmful weapons following the chaos in the Arua by-election campaign.
