Uganda Technology and Management University to train staff from Vocational and Technical Institutes

Uganda Technology and Management University in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Sports is set to host a 10-day training workshop on Computer Literacy for officials from Vocational and Technical Institutes in Uganda.

The training according to the Director for Engagement, Research and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Florence Tushabe is aimed at skilling and retooling participants in computer programmes such as: word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations as well as Internet browsing.

Tushabe highlighted that the workshop will mainly constitute practical sessions and an online platform where participants will be able to communicate their individual needs to enable customization according to these needs. The platform can be accessed at www.deri.utamu.ac.ug/moes.

Some of the facilitators include; Prof. Florence Tushabe, Dr. Johnson Mwebaze, Dr. Drake Mirembe, Prof. John Ngubiri among others.
