Uganda Technology and Management University introduces 14 new postgraduate courses

Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU) has started offering Five new Master’s Degree and nine postgraduate courses beginning January 2015.

The new courses include; Master of Business Administration; Masters in Public Administration, Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology and Postgraduate Diploma in Information Systems.

In his new year message, the Vice Chancellor was proud to announce that National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) had accredited a good number of programmes for the University over the last two years.

The new postgraduate programmes have been uniquely designed with a wide range of specialisation options for learners which will be taught by a rich blend of distinguished professors and industry experts.

“All supervisors for Master’s Programmes hold PhD’s from the World’s leading Universities. Their expertise, experience and commitment are clearly paying off and will see UTAMU produce the best in East Africa,” he explained.

While UTAMU has been offering collaborative postgraduate programmes with leading academic institutions both in Uganda and abroad, the five master’s programmes will be exclusively offered by UTAMU. The minimum admission requirement to any of the above master’s degrees is a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution.

Holders of Postgraduate Diplomas in the respective areas of specialisation will be admitted to 2nd year of the corresponding Master’s programme subject to the Postgraduate Diploma having been obtained from a recognised institution and assessment of the courses done as part of the postgraduate diploma.

Also Master’s students on related programmes at recognised institutions who wish to transfer credit to UTAMU will be considered for the respective year and semester.

Admissions on the above UTAMU master’s programmes are still open.
