The Woman MP for Masaka district Hon. Babirye Mary Kabanda Hon. Kabanda contributed UGX 12, 680,000 towards the fundraising luncheon held by Uganda Martyrs University Masaka campus.
She urged other stakeholders to continue supporting all activities that will enable the university to become stronger especially in achieving the objective of imparting knowledge to the future generation.
Hon. Kabanda was the Guest of Honour atthe fundraising.
She encouraged her fellow MPs to combine efforts in ensuring that the university realizes her dream of putting up structures that will help in accommodating the increasing student numbers.
The Luncheon attracted various MPs from Masaka and the neighbouring districts, Alumni, parents, staff, students and other UMU stakeholders.
The fundraising Luncheon followed an Outreach activity that was carried out in Masaka town on Saturday 13th October 2018, where Uganda Martyrs University students and staff worked together to clean the town as a way of giving back to the community, as the University celebrates 25 years of Excellence.
