Uganda Cup: Quarterfinal Draws Announced

Uganda Cup quarterfinal draws were held to determine the match-ups for the next round of the tournament.

The draws were conducted by officials from the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) and featured some exciting pairings between the top teams in the competition.

Football fans across Uganda are eagerly anticipating these upcoming matches, which are sure to be highly competitive and entertaining.

After the Stanbic Uganda Cup draws were held at FUFA House in Mengo, Uganda Premier League teams learned about their Quarterfinal opponents.
Vipers have been assigned a home game against Fufa Big League side Calvary, while KCCA has been assigned a road game against UPL side Bright Stars.

Uganda Cup Quarterfinal Fixtures:

Adjumani TC Vs Express FC
Brights Stars Vs KCCA FC
Vipers Vs Calvary
Police Vs BUL FC

•Dates: April 10-15
Format: single-legged ties, extra time (and then penalties) will apply in case of draws

To get this far, the Venoms have been fortunate on three occasions, ejecting three teams on penalties.
The most recent was a 4-3 penalty shootout victory over Wakiso Giants in Alex Isabirye’s first game in charge.

KCCA FC advanced to this stage after defeating Mbarara City 2-1, while Bright Stars cruised past Kiyinda Boys.
Defending champions Bul FC have been assigned to Big League side Police FC.

BUL advanced by defeating Onduparaka 1-0 in the round of 16, while Police advanced by defeating Ndejje University.

It has been confirmed that all games will be single-leg ties, with extra time followed by penalties if the game ends in a draw at the normal time.

It is worth noting that this years final will be held for the first time in recent memory at the Aki bua stadium in Arua.

“I would like to congratulate the eight teams that have reached this level. Knockout competitions are never easy and at the moment, each of the clubs stands a chance to go ahead and win the trophy,” he said before adding,

“The Stanbic Uganda Cup is a prestigious competition that has legacy. It has created several stars and Champions.”
