The ReLAB-HS consortium is led by Johns Hopkins University, USA and is comprised of six international partners with expertise in health systems, implementation science, and delivering innovations. ReLAB-HS aims to support development of health systems that are responsive to the escalating challenge of addressing the growing needs for rehabilitation within populations. It seeks to co-design and implement innovative, comprehensive, cost-effective interventions that strengthen health systems for provision of rehabilitation. ReLAB-HS focuses on integrating rehabilitation services across all levels of care within health systems, so that they are accessible, effective, and affordable.
Job Summary: ReLAB-HS is seeking candidates for a Uganda Country Coordinator position for an ongoing five-year United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded activity, Learning, Acting and Building for Rehabilitation in Health Systems (ReLAB-HS). Based in Kampala office, the ReLAB-HS Uganda Country Coordinator will oversee ReLAB-HS program implementation in Uganda.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities: The ReLAB-HS Uganda Country Coordinator will be based in Kampala and report to the Director Operations, ReLAB-HS who oversees global ReLAB-HS implementation and is based at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore USA. The Uganda Country Coordinator will liaise with government and private sector stakeholders related to the USAID activity, channel expertise from consortium partners to Uganda program, and will supervise a team of technical and operations staff in Uganda for an effective ReLAB-HS implementation. This also includes close collaboration with Makerere University School of Public Health.
The ReLAB-HS Uganda Country Coordinator will be responsible for performing the following primary tasks:
