Uganda Christian University is going to host the East African Communication Association (EACA) conference 2014.
The conference will take place between 29th and 31st August, 2014 at the UCU Main campus in Mukono.
The objectives of this year’s EACA include building partnerships and harnessing regional synergies for capacity-building for changing media environments in Africa and providing a forum for a free exchange of ideas on the subject of capacity-building for the media and communication training institutions.
The East African Communication Association has so far held three annual conferences. The first was held in Nairobi (2011), the second in Mwanza (2012) and the third in Nairobi(2013). The one at UCU will be the 4th.
EACA 2014 will bring together media, journalism and communication scholars, policy-makers and regulators from the Africa region, and other professionals interested in media training in Africa with the aim of building networks and harnessing synergies towards building capacity for changing media environments in Africa.
