UCU Faculty of Business and administration Wins Inter-Faculty Soccer Tournament

The Faculty of Business and administration football team were crowned as champions of the Uganda Christian University (UCU) Inter-Faculty Soccer Tournament on Friday, 06 March 2020 at the University Football pitch.

The Inter-Faculty Soccer Tournament is organized every semester where all faculties at Uganda Christian University participate.

The two sides played out a 0-0 draw at the full time forcing it to go penalty shootouts. The Business Faculty won 4-2 on penalties.

The Faculty of Business Coach Arthur Nagimesi highlighted that togetherness was a key factor that made the team win.

“When I came in, I found a lot of division in the team. Good quality players were not getting the chance to play. I had to pick up pure quality players to create the right balance for the team. The players were united, “he said.

He further recognized the Lawyer’s team for being a tough opponent.

“We played the Lawyers earlier on in the tournament and they are a hard team to crackdown. But because of our playing style of possession and keeping the ball down, we managed to overcome them, ” he said.

The Captain of the Business Faculty team, Coline Ayesigwa was excited to win the tournament.
