Results of last year’s Ugandan Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) that were released show an improvement as compared to last years performance.
Out of 11,456 students who sat for the Exams, boys performed better in Science subjects than girls who excelled in Arts. Despite the slight improvement, more science students failed to get the principle level pass meaning that they will not be admitted for degree courses at University level.
A total of 404 candidates are still in tears since their results were withheld due to suspected examination malpractice.
The S.6 leavers are now planning to join the different universities and they will soon be called freshers.
