Back.ground
The Government of Uganda has received a Grant from the European Union towards the Chase Poverty and Hunger Project under Development Initiative for Northern Uganda and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Grant for payments under short term contracts for Two [2] Transport Managers.

Overall Objective

The overall objective of the services is to support the National Agricultural Research Organization implement its activities under the chase poverty and hunger project in the Northern part of Uganda.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Driving vehicle for ofﬁcial duties and assignments
• Carrying out basic maintenance of vehicle and ensuring that the vehicle is always in good condition
• Reporting all technicalfmedtanical faults to supervising oﬁicer
• Ensuring the safety of the vehicle while on duty
• Adhering to all required trafﬁc regulations and taking responsibility for trafﬁc faults
• Good communication skills and team work

Minimum Qualifications and experience:

• A’ Level certiﬁcate of education
• At least 6 years of clean driving record and experience
• Basic mechanical and vehicle maintenance skills
• Certiﬁcate in defensive driving
• Valid driving permit

Duration:

The duration of the contracts shall be Forty (40] Months.
Age: Candidates MUST he below 48 years of age.

Job Education: A’ Level certiﬁcate

Job Experience: 6 years

Work Hours: 8
