About USAID Programmes:
NCBA CLUSA is currently recruiting senior and mid-level technical specialists for two anticipated USAID programs:
- Uganda’s Improving Youth Livelihoods in Agriculture program is a five-year program to increase opportunities for youth in agriculture to realize their potential and effectively contribute to Uganda’s social and economic development. The program will expand technical, educational and leadership opportunities in agriculture for youth ages 15-30 in select districts in Uganda, including Northern Uganda, through a market-driven approach for increased food security and employment for young men and women.
- Uganda Producer Organizations’ Activity will focus on strengthening farmer organizations to become more business-oriented and better advocates for their respective members. The approach will focus on training members of farmer organizations in such areas as group formation, dynamics and cohesion, governance, financial management, trust, access to services and markets, and advocacy. The purpose is to create a critical mass of member-owned, democratically- governed organizations to meet the specific financial and/or social needs of their members, and of the wider farming community.
