Just as “The Lego Movie” continues to rake in the revenue at the box office, Warner Brothers Pictures has already set an official release date for the the family flick’s untitled sequel!
Hitting theaters on May 26, 2017, very few details have been given about the sequel, but reports do state that Jared Stern and Michelle Morgan will write the screenplay.
Currently in theaters, “The Lego Movie” debuted during the first weekend in February, earning an impressive $69.1 million, and it will not be stopping any time soon.
According to the synopsis, “An ordinary LEGO mini-figure, mistakenly thought to be the extraordinary Master Builder, is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil LEGO tyrant from gluing the universe together.”
