Targeted Assault: Resilient Makerere University Senior Lecturer Defends Against Panga-Wielding Thugs

Dr. Wandera Robert, a highly esteemed Senior Lecturer of Psychology at Makerere University, finds himself in a grave condition, battling severe injuries to his head and eyes, following a harrowing attack one fateful night over the weekend.

The incident unfolded when Dr. Robert was merely a few meters away from his residence at Lumumba flats, Makerere, becoming the target of a merciless onslaught. This shocking act of violence has sent shockwaves throughout the community and left everyone questioning the state of security in the area.

Deputy Lord Mayor Doreen Nyanjura took to social media, expressing her concerns and shedding light on the precarious situation around Lumumba Hall. Nyanjura pointed out that the closure of the hall in 2022 has resulted in a noticeable security threat, and she earnestly implores the authorities to expedite the completion and subsequent reopening of this crucial student residence.
