Students’ Loan Scheme: Deadline for application extended

University Graduates

The Higher Education Students’ Financing Board (HESFB) has extended the application deadline for Students planning to get loans to finance their education at selected institutions of higher learning in Uganda.

The Deadline that was meant to close on Friday August 04, 2017 has been extended to Friday August 18, 2017 for Undergraduate Applicants and Thursday August 31, 2017 for Diploma Applicants.

“We have noted that a number of students have not yet accessed the admission letters from some universities and other tertiary institutions which is a requirement to apply. We have, therefore, decided to extend the deadline to accommodate students who have not yet been issued with admission letters,” the State Minister for Higher Education, John Muyingo said at a press conference.

Prof. Callisto Locheng, the board chairman, HESFB said applications can be obtained at the approved institutions of higher learning in Uganda.

Application forms can also be obtained at the following places:

a) The HESFB Website OR https://ilmis.hesfb.go.ug for online applicants.
b) Any Branch of Centenary Bank across the country.
c) Any of the offices of the academic registrars of all the participating Higher Education Institutions
d) From the HESFB Offices on 7th Floor, Plot 1, Lourdel Towers, Lourdel Road, Nakasero.
