At around 3:30 am of Sunday 10^th 2022, there was a fatal accident that involved a Mercedes Benz car and a train locomotive along the Nakawa-Kinawataka rail crossway.

One of the occupants in the car died on spot and the other was rushed to Mulago National Referral hospital in critical condition after sustaining serious injuries.

The victims were identified as Norbert Tizikara, an architect, and Aturinde Caroline Ann, a student who was studying from Law Development Centre (LDC).

Traffic police spokesperson confirmed the incident revealing that Aturinde died on the spot while Tizikara was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Aturinde was awaiting her graduation in Legal Practice on the 29^th of this month at LDC. It is expected that the late will be buried in Rwenkobwa Town Council in Ibanda district.

The management of Uganda Railway Corporation sent heartfelt sympathies to the families of the victims of the unfortunate incident.
