Twenty two (22) journalism students at Cavendish University participated in the Multimedia Journalism and Digital safety training that was conducted by Ultimate Multimedia Consult.
The two weeks training took place from November 14th to November 26, 2019 at the University’s kings gate campus and in the last week, participants pitched their stories to a panel of judges.
Twenty(20) best stories made it to the finals and received allowances to aid their completion.
Out of the 20, two stories developed by Patricia Tumuhairwe and Tonny Mboijana won smartphones and tripod stands to enable them further their multimedia experiences.
Two best social media influences, Gladys Nalubega and Bond Matsiko received power-banks as a reward for their extended efforts in tweeting about the training making the #MyMultimediaStoryTelling harshtag.
The workshop was part of the University trainings sponsored by the US Mission that targets atleast 60 students well equipped with multimedia skills.
