Stores Manager job opportunity at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya

Job Title:  Stores Manager

St. Francis Hospital Nsambya strives to be a model health care facility of international status by providing sustainable quality Health care, training and research guided by our values of integrity, professionalism and hard work.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Update and maintain adequate stock supplies and inventory
  • Responsible for the organization of the stores
  • Ensure safe storage of items in conformity with accepted standards of Stores Management.
  • Monitor and ensure issuance of correct quantities to appropriate destinations.
  • Ensure full understanding, strict adherence to and implementation of stores procedures.
  • Ensure that all stores movements are properly authenticated and correctly recorded.
  • In charge of monitoring of all items with special attention to obsolete / slow moving stock items.
  • Compile and submit reports and keep stores record updated
  • Responsible for a team of stores staff and preparation of work schedules.
  • Ensure safe working procedures are followed.
  • Responsible for the management and control of access to stores and maintain security controls

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate should preferably hold a degree in stores and / materials management
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar position in a busy organization.
  • Computer literacy a must.
