Makerere University Beach Soccer team did not show up for their national league opening fixture against rivals St Lawrence university at Lido beach in Entebbe over the weekend.
“We haven’t got any communication as to why they haven’t come and that means a walk over for St. Lawrence University”. One of the league organizers Timo Kirl told The Campus Times.
Dressed in a university branded uniform, St Lawrence was awarded three points and three goals.

In other matches played on the day, Makerere University Business School defeated resilient Zaba supermarket 4-3, Kampala International University (KIU)overpowered Kayunga 6-8 after extra time; while YMCA beat Stormers 4-3.
Elsewhere Sand Pirates thumped Real Galaticos 5-3 whist Buwanika Bulls lost 2-4 to Talented boys team.
