Singer Mike Posner bitten by a rattlesnake

United States singer writer and songwriter Mike Posner has been hospitalized having been bitten by a rattlesnake on Saturday.

Posner was on his way to Colorado with the aim of fulfilling his mission to walk across the United States by foot, releasing a new song in each state he crosses into. He is currently on mile 1,800 of 2,833.

The singer was then hospitalized following the snake bit. He took this to instagram and said.

“Crazy day yesterday! I had just crushed 16 miles and was going for 8 more when I got (bit) by a baby rattlesnake! That venom is no joke!” he wrote. “I got to the hospital and got the anti-venom in time.”

He also thanked his nurses and people from the helicopter team before giving an update on his walking status.

“I’ll be here a few days and will not be able to walk for several weeks but enjoying the AC and the nice bed, haven’t had those in a while Hahahaha!” he added. “Can’t wait to get back on The Walk! KEEP GOING!!!!!!”

Posner also shared a video update Saturday, which shows him dressed in a hospital gown and slowly walking with the help of a walker and a nurse.
