Shock as Nkumba University student dies in Hostel room

Nkumba University students gathered at the hostel where the body of late Albert Irra Michael was found.

Nkumba university student identified as Albert Irra Michael was on  Monday 14th April 2015 found dead in a hostel room. He was aged 23.

The second year student of social sciences was discovered dead and decomposing in his hostel room at Mutabazi Hostel located in Bwaise, a few meters away from Nkumba university campus.

Some of his friends revealed that they had spent a number of days minus seeing the deceased.

They had a belief that he had gone to the village in Adjumani to visit his relatives. They tried calling but he wasn’t picking their calls.

This forced them to go and check on him at his hostel room; only to be welcomed by silence. Albert Irra Michael was laying motionless on his bed.

The friends broke down in tears on realizing their classmate had breathed his last. They alerted the neigbours who surrounded the area like a swarm of bees though in shock.

Mpala Police cops swung into action and broke the padlock to his room.

The deceased’s body was taken to Mulago Hospital for postmortem.
The deceased discovered dead on his bed.

The deceased was found dead on his bed dressed in boxers.

It is suspected that the deceased passed away days back.

Nkumba university authorities dispatched an ambulance that took his body to Mulago Hospital for postmortem.

Police investigations into the cause of death. May his soul rest in peace.
