Shafik Batambuze signs for Gor Mahia in Kenya

Gor Mahia have confirmed the signing of Uganda left back Shafik Batambuze from Tanzanian side Singida United.

It is said that the defender has penned down a two year contract with Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia.

Gor Mahia have confirmed the signing of Uganda left back Shafik Batambuze from Tanzanian side Singida United.

Shafik Batambuze has today penned a two year contract with the reigning champions Gor Mahia FC in readiness for the forthcoming CAF CL and the 2019 Kenya Premier League,” a statement on the club’s official website reads.

Batambuze who als played for Tusker FC returns to Kenta and is regarded as a replacement for Godfrey Walusimbi who joined Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa.

Batambuze adds himself on the list of players who have so far played for Gor Mahia. Among these are; Daniel Sserunkuma, Israel Emuge, Khalid Aucho, Wazza and Ivan Anguyo among others.
