Schools that topped public university admissions

Students of St. Mary’s Kitende

The giant secondary schools have continued to dominate admissions at the public universities. Schools like Kitende, Namugongo, Mengo, Gombe, Lubiri still top the list.

St Mary’s SS Kitende takes the lion’s share with 370 students at Makerere university, 100 at MUBs, 28 to Mbarara university of science and technology, and 125 to Kyambogo university.

St Mary’s SS Kitende Annex sent 117 students to Makerere university, 104 to MUBs, 6 to Mbarara university and 64 to Kyambogo.

The best 24 schools that sent the highest number of students to public universities are from the central part of the country. It is followed by schools from western.

Schools from the Northern part of Uganda sent the least number of students to Makerere university, Mbarara university, Kyambogo university and Makerere university Business School (MUBS).
