Schools that topped Government sponsorship admission list

Government sponsorship admission list: Public Universities Joint Admission Board yesterday released the list of students admitted on government sponsorship for the academic year 2014/2015.

As always, Secondary schools in the central region topped the Government sponsorship admission list again. Out of the total slots sponsored annually,  St Mary’s SS, Kitende had the highest number of slots.

170 students from St Mary’s SS, Kitende were admitted to the five public universities on Government sponsorship.

Uganda Martyrs SS, Namugongo is second on the list with 105 students.

Mengo SS came third with 84 students

Seeta High School, Mukono had 78 students

Gombe SS took 70 students

King’s College, Budo had 64 students

Kawempe Muslim SS secured 54 slots.

Ntare School with 40 students admitted
