Just as they said it on their wedding day, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his wife Lyudmila on Thursday announced their divorce.
“Our marriage is over, really because of the fact that we practically never see each other,” Lyudmila said during their official announcement of the divorce.
“It was a joint decision to divorce, but we are always going to be very close to each other. I am sure, forever.” Putin said during the interview with Rossiya-24 television.
The two have been in marriage for 30 years and have been blessed with two marital biological daughters.
