Ronaldo-less Madrid Blunt

With an average of just 1.7 goals per game, the Los Bloncos have the lowest goalscoring average of any Real Madrid team in the past decade.

With an average of just 1.7 goals per game, the Los Bloncos have the lowest goalscoring average of any Real Madrid team in the past decade.

They may have scored 10 times across their first three LaLiga Santander matches, but they have now failed to do so at all in their past three fixtures, away at Sevilla, at home against Atletico Madrid and away at CSKA Moscow.

Real Madrid
Real suffered a shock 1-0 defeat away at CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Tuesday

In fact, it’s not been 319 minutes since they hit the back of the net, which is over five hours.

In 2018/19, they’re only netting once every 52 minutes, quite a difference from the rate of once every 30 minutes set in 2011/12.

This is a clear evidence that the Madrid giants are missing Portuguese Super star Cristiano Ronaldo who scored 44 in 44 games last season.

The current Madrid’s trio which consists of Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio, together scored 44 goals just like the now Juventus Talisman came up with last season with Bale scoring 21 goals, Benzema 12 and Asensio 11.

The question that needs to be asked is whether or not this team will be able to win tight matches if they find it difficult to score.
