Ronald Mayinja leaves Golden Band

Golden Band prominent musician Ronald Mayinja has left the Makindye based local music group, to leave it at the verge of breakdown.

The Doreen star has left band over reasons he articulates are not worth mentioning in public due to his professionalism.

Sources close to the band told the media that for long the directors of the group and the members have had a series of scuffles as the members accused the directors of favoritism, mismanagement of funds, greed, among other issues.

The Mpenja – born musician joins his fellow artist Stecia Mayanja who also left the Golden Band for Kream Production in September last year because of the same issues.

After decades of singing political songs Mayinja seemed to be heading for politics.

Mayinja has been popularly known for message loaded songs like ‘Tuli ku Bunkenke’ (Situation is tense), ‘Tuwalana Nguzi’ (We are against corruption), ‘Africa! Ani agula ensi’ (Africa is up for sale) and ‘Sente y’ekibi’ (evil money) among others, however with several love lyric sentimental songs like Funayo Akadde.

Mayinja is wasting no time in making his intentions known by the voters in Gomba district that he is the man with the vision to deliver the constituency to greater heights.
