Chelsea Football Club and Inter Milan have officially met concerning the transfer of Romelu Lukaku.
The representatives from Milan had a meeting with the Premier League side concerning the possibility of a loan move back to the Serie A. Transfer News expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on his official Twitter account on Wednesday, June 15th, 2022.
Lukaku joined Chelsea during the summer transfer window of the 2021/22 season for a record transfer fee of €100 million. However, the Belgian has failed to replicate his goal-scoring form for the Blues, scoring just eight Premier League goals in the just-concluded season.
Lukaku’s relationship with Chelsea supporters broke after he granted an interview with Sky Sports, Italia stating his state of unhappiness with the club, just two months after he was signed.
