KCB Bank Uganda was established in the year 2007 and has grown to become one of Uganda’s top ten commercial banks. Currently KCB Bank Uganda has 14 branches complemented with 16 ATMs spread on Kampala Road, Commercial Plaza, Ben Kiwanuka, Luwum Street, Oasis Mall Sixth Street, Arua, Elgon Masaba, Fort Portal, Gulu, Hoima, Lira, Mbarara and Jinja that offer trade financing, corporate and retail banking services to customers.

 

Job Summary: Reporting to the Business Analyst, the role holder will play a key role in the monitoring and evaluation of the financial and non-financial performance of the Bank with a specific focus on the Retail business with the aim of providing insightful input into the decision-making processes.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform business analysis and interpretation of performance trends (internal and external) relating to the Retail business to facilitate management decision making.
  • Prepare Retail business performance papers for discussion by the Country Management Exco, Assets & Liabilities Management Committee, Business Development meetings and other applicable management committees.
  • Prepare reports and insight on portfolio trends that includes but not limited to retail branch performance, customer performance, staff productivity and product performance.
  • Quarterly tracking of the Retail business strategic initiatives.
  • Work with the Business analyst to embed data driven decision making in the retail productivity management process.
  • Support in the Business analyst in business performance analysis for the Corporate and Treasury business as may be required.
  • Business segment profitability and trend tracking.
  • Stakeholder relationship as one stop center for all financial information for the retail business unit and other relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in preferably Finance/Statistics/Economics/Computer Science/Mathematics/Commerce.
  • General banking experience/industry related exposure.
  • At least two years’ experience in Bank Operations.
  • Ability to deal with stressful and emotional situations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to a deadline.
  • Analytical & numerical skills.
  • Stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
  • Business acumen.
  • Critical thinking.
  • Financial Accounting.
  • Risk Management
