Overall job purpose
Mental Health Uganda is a non-government disabled peoples organization that works with people with mental health problems. Mental Health Uganda seeks to recruit a project offi cer. His/her core duties will entail fundraising, capacity building of groups of persons living with mental disabilities, and partnership building and collaborations at national and local grassroots groups in a dynamic, creative and committed manner with an emphasis on integration through a rights based approach.

Suitably qualified candidates should email a one page motivation letter and resume as one document and addressed to the Human Resources and Administration Manager, Mental Health Uganda atmhu@mentalhealthuganda.org subject line “Project Officer”. The deadline for applications is 28th December 2018, 5pm – late applications will not be considered. Please do not attach your academic documents to the application. The Motivation letter must include a description of how the candidate fulfills the criteria under the person specification. The Letter must also include your salary expectations and the details of 2 suitable referees who can comment on the candidate’s ability. Interviews are expected to take place in January. He/ she should be ready to start 1st February. The successful candidate will receive a two year contract subject to renewal upon a satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
