Innovative Metrics and Methods for Agriculture and Nutrition Actions (IMMANA) is now accepting applications for Competitive Research Grants to Develop Innovative Methods and Metrics for Agriculture and Nutrition Actions.
This research grants programme is directed at accelerating the development of innovative and interdisciplinary metrics and methods filling the key knowledge gaps including theory-driven impact evaluation.
It is expected that this work stream will consist of 15-20 research grants of up to £250,000 to be awarded in two rounds.
Innovative Metrics and Methods for Agriculture and Nutrition Actions (IMMANA) is a new £7.2m research partnership funded by the UK Departmentfor International Development (DFID) and coordinated by the Leverhulme Centre for Integrative Research on Agriculture and Health (LCIRAH).
IMMANA aims to:
- Develop scientific evidence to inform effective policies and investments in agriculture for improved nutrition and health
- Engage with the research community to stimulate development of innovative methodological approaches and novel metrics
- Train young researchers in developing and applying cutting-edge methods
- Strengthen international interdisciplinary research collaborations for evidence-based policy making and programme design.
