Professor John Maviiri has officially started work as the new Vice Chancellor of Uganda Martyrs University.

He received the Vice Chancellor’s handover report from the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Joseph Kisekka.

This was done on January 14th 2015 in the presence of members of the University Management.

He was appointed late last year.

Professor John Maviiri holds a Diploma in Philosophy (Alokolum, Uganda), a Diploma in Theology (Ggaba, Uganda), another Diploma in Theology (Makerere University), a Licentiate and a Doctorate in Dogmatic Theology (Pontifical Urban University, Italy).
