Assoc. Prof. Gertrude Kiwanuka (R) is the new Dean, Faculty of Medicine.
Assoc. Prof. Gertrude Kiwanuka has been appointed as the new as the new dean at the Faculty Medicine, Mbarara University of Science and Technology.
She takes over from Assoc. Prof. Samuel Maling.
The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs), Assoc. Prof. Nixon Kamukama officiated the handover ceremony that took place at the Pharmacology Lecture Theatre.
Assoc. Prof. Maling, in his farewell speech, thanked the staff at the faculty for supporting him until the end of his tenure of service.
He also listed achievements and departments that had excelled during the period. Assoc. Prof. Gertrude Kiwanuka, who holds a Phd in Biochemistry joined MUST as a graduate student in 1992.
At the same function, the outgoing Deputy Dean, Prof. Amon Agaba handed over to Dr. Joseph Ngonzi, as the new Deputy Dean.
