Premier League Preview: Arsenal Vs Swansea

Arsenal host Swansea City tonight at Emirates Stadium looking to consolidate their chances of finishing in 2nd place ahead of Manchester City who won 6-0 against Queen Park Rangers on Sunday.

Last season’s Champion are occupying second spot on the table with 73 points ahead of Arsenal who have 70 points but with two games in hand.

Arsene Wenger’s side have been one of the inform teams in Europe and they are the favorites to finish as runners up in the Premier League if they get three wins and a draw in their 4 remaining fixtures.

The Gunners are unbeaten in their last nine games in the league winning eight and drawing one against Chelsea.

It will be a good season if they are able to win the FA Cup final which they will play against Aston Villa on 30th this month and also finish in second place something they last did in the 2004/05 season.

Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey is a doubt after he got injured against Hull City with Jack Wilshere expected to replace him.

Wilshere is likely to start his first game since November having been out with a long time injury.

Arsenal will still be without Mikel Arteta, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mathieu Debuchy and Danny Welbeck.

Meanwhile, Swansea have accumulated their best ever points tally since being promoted to the Premier League following their impressive win over Stoke City. Gary Monk has been a revelation for the Swans and is in the running for the manager of the year award alongside Nigel Pearson, who has dragged Leicester City out of relegation.

Former Arsenal goal keeper Lukasz Fabianski will make his  first visit to the Emirates Stadium since leaving Arsenal for Swansea last summer.

The swans will hope for a win to enhance their 8th position on the table.
