According to Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy Police spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan, the criminal’s grandmother and some relatives quickly rushed to kirinya police station for help and opened a case about Twinamatsiko kidnap.

Police immediately started the hunt on the surrounding areas of Kinawataka, kilaka, and Ntinda. On the hunt, police found out that the motor vehicle which was involved was owned by a church in Mukono district. According to the church, the vehicle was in the parking on the day Twinamatsiko claimed kidnapped.

Police continued with the hunt and traced her phone until they found her hiding at her boyfriend hostel in kirinya on September/15/2019 and the police arrested her and the boyfriend.

During the police interrogation, they found out that she had faked her own kidnap because her parents had refused to give her money for the hostel.

Teddy told police that she was tired of coming from home for lecturers and now she wanted to live in the hostel or stay with her boyfriend.
