Nkumba University has contributed 3 million shillings towards the reconstruction of Kasubi tombs.
The contribution (Etofalli) was handed over to Charles Peter Mayiga, the prime Minister of Buganda Kingdom by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Hanington Ssengendo during his visit to the university on 13th May 2013.
Peter Mayiga encouraged the university to continue working with Buganda Kingdom.
“We need to work with great people at education institutions because they are knowledgeable,” Mayiga said
The Vice chancellor said Nkumba university is committed to supporting developmental projects of the kingdom.
Mayiga was treated to a red carpet welcome amidst overwhelming cheers from students, staff and residents from the neighborhood.
