When I first saw this picture, I imagined the Toro King was carefully listening to the Katikilo before answering, then Social Media gave birth to the Oyo Challenge saying he was disrespecting the Katikilo of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, .
The media did what they know best and the whole issue went out of proportion hailing all sorts of insults to King Oyo; some questioning the way King Oyo was raised, the photo where the Toro King sat cross legged brought out all the instances to make their accusations stick.
This has since given birth to the Oyo challenge which has been done by people in all angels, see pictures;

Social media has done good in informing people about what is happening in the country but they need to consider all the angels when it comes to reporting about people who have a reputation to uphold in society.
The Daily Monitor published another image showing an angle different from what the media blew out of proportion,
Here, it shows the King was actually listening to what the Katikilo was saying.
Am a Muganda and I know we have solidarity for the Kabaka that we cannot let any other person disrespect him but we sometimes forget that also these other kingdoms have Kings who deserve our respect as well.
Oyo is a King and he honored the invite to attend the Kabaka’s birthday so we should be thanking him for that instead of giving him bad publicity.
Our own Kabaka one day went to the mosque with a mattress when everyone else was on the floor; no one talked about it. We should be discussing developmental aspects affecting Uganda as a nation instead of wasting time on small issues.
