Otto’s brother voted Gulu University Guild President

Andrew Ogwetta Otto, Gulu University Guild President

Andrew Ogwetta Otto was announced the Guild President of Gulu university. Andrew is a brother to Aruu county MP, Odonga Otto.

Andrew is a third year student studying a bachelor’s course in Law.  He emerged victorious after getting 1278 votes. He beat two others in the race.

  • George Aligech Lapir got 804 votes
  • Samuel Senda got 504 votes

Andrew Ogwetta Otto had this to say after his victory.

“I thank all those who have stood by me in the past guild elections where i emerged victorious. The victory is not one for me but for that student who performs all their obligations but at the end of the day feel betrayed by a government of their own. The leadership is from us and has suffered with us and is just destined to us. With all your support, we shall make it,”

Philimon Badagawa.

Philimon Badagawa is a multimedia journalist with skills in news gathering, packaging, editing and online publishing. He has knowledge in data visualization, can design and manage websites. He previously worked as a journalist with Observer media and authored several articles and stories. He does research, video & audio recording, editing and production for online publication. He Participated in The New Dawn photography campaign aimed at rebranding Northern Uganda-USAID/NUTI Project (2010). Philimon is in love with photography, writing, reading, sharing new ideas and interacting with reasonable people for skills development.
