Opoya Micheal to fight for supplementary exams at Makerere university

Opoya Micheal is contesting for Guild Presidency at Makerere university.

While at a guild campaign rally at Mary Stuart hall on Saturday 14th March, Opoya Micheal promised to push for the introduction of supplementary exams at Makerere University.

The third year student studying a Bachelor of commerce, says this will enable students who get retakes in their final year to graduate without waiting for another year.

The presidential hopeful observed a moment of silence to pray for the soul of Karen Nansikombi, a third year student of Quantity Surveying who died on Friday evening.

He also decried the heavy deployment of police around Makerere University and called upon the students not to be intimidated when fighting their rights.

In his last remarks, he called upon all students to vote for him and reminded them that he has a vision for Makerere university because he is a fighter who had experienced most of the problems he intends to solve.

Stellah Namulindwa is the only female candidate in the race.

The rally was addressed by all the other candidates except Mwine Musa who had gone for a burial.
