Job Summary: The Officer IT Infrastructure is tasked with the installation, configuration and maintenance of enterprise Infrastructure. The jobholder is in charge of the daily resolution of assigned issues within SLA on the Issue Tracker. Execute any other duties as may be direct by the supervising office.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

Handles Support issues for outlook, operating system for desktop and laptops:

  • Works with centre on builds (testing and creation)
  • Abide to Incident, Change and Problem management and SLA. Follow up on all assigned issues
  • Implement Change with minimum Business disruptions
  • Ensure clean power for both Production and DR environments
  • Improve Service through targeted Improvement Programs
  • The jobholder will also standardise and optimise service offerings across all locations
  • Provide technical support in computer equipment and peripherals.
  • Works with branch champions to solve issues
  • Advise on training for Branch champions

Installation / setup:

  • Installation and Configuration of all Desktop/laptops
  • Installation and configuration of printers
  • Installation and configuration of servers

Software:

  • Purchase recommendation
  • Always use the asset System when releasing assets from IT.
  • Abide to Incident, Change and Problem management and SLA
  • Ensure the compliance of audit issues where PC, laptops and matters of this area are concerned
  • Follow up on all assigned issues
  • Attend production meetings and change meetings when called upon

Problem Management – Review the Service Desk issues for:

  • Desktop / Laptop faults trends
  • Issue repetitions
  • Come up with RCA (send them to Problem management)
  • Work with the Project team to handle projects in your area
  • Ensure the compliance of audit issues

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate for the Stanbic Bank Officer IT Infrastructure job opportunity should hold a University degree in Business, IT , Engineering or a related subject. MCSE or equivalent
  • At least two to three years of extensive technical experience in IT Enterprise
  • Process Management including knowledge of ITIL processes including change, incident and problem management.
  • Including knowledge of regulatory requirements of home markets
  • Extensive knowledge of standard business processes including work prioritization, best practices.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international banking industry
  • Including knowledge of the Bank’s business, products, key clients, business strategy and strategic issues
  • Extensive knowledge of WAN/LAN technologies
  • Knowledge of different DHCP, AD ,MAIL ,DNS technologies
  • Scripting and programming languages used to automate maintenance tasks
