CHSALHN Undergraduate scholarships are awarded to those who are currently studying or about to start an undergraduate degree at university in an identified area of workforce need, such as Physiotherapy or Registered Nursing.
Scholarship recipients are required to work for Country Health SA LHN upon completion of their undergraduate degree for a period equivalent to the period of scholarship funding they receive. The application deadline is 16 October 2015.
Study Subject(s): Scholarships are awarded in relevant disciplines to meet Workforce needs. For the 2016 intake the following disciplines have been identified as areas of workforce shortage Registered Nursing and Physiotherapy.

Eligibility:
-Full time students currently studying or about to commence an undergraduate degree at University in a relevant discipline.
-Full time students currently studying or about to commence a required graduate or professional entry course which will lead to the student, upon graduation, being fully qualified to commence clinical practice.
-Applicants must reside in or have resided in rural South Australia prior to undertaking their tertiary education.
-People of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent are encouraged to apply.
Scholarship Open for International Students: These undergraduate scholarships are available for South Australian students.
Scholarship Description: Country Health SA Local Health Network (CHSALHN) is committed to providing a range of high quality health services in rural and remote South Australia to meet the needs of South Australians residing in country areas. CHSALHN awards scholarships to rural residents who have a strong commitment to a continued and future professional practice in country areas.
Duration of award(s): The scholarships will be awarded for up to four years of study.
What does it cover? The Scholarship provides students with $5,000 per year in two half payments of $2,500 for up to 4 years study for your undergraduate degree.
How to Apply: Applications can be made online via the Country Health SA website. Applications should include:
-A completed online application form
-A curriculum vitae or resume
-Two written referee statements (one from a member of the community e.g. School Principal)
-A short written statement
