This is the very 1st Edition of the awards and they are slated to happen on Saturday 25th March at a red carpet event at Kampala Serena Hotel.
“It’s great to be in Uganda. I am looking forward to having the most memorable time while here, so be there at the iKon Awards, and let’s share our ideas on filmmaking and our journey so far as a continent. I look forward to seeing you guys,” Ramsey Nouah said.

Tomorrow at Motiv, before the awards, he will give a masterclass on acting where, among other things, he will reveal some insights into the movie.
Humphrey Nabimanya also noted that he will be leading a masterclass for local filmmakers to share his knowledge and experience in filmmaking before the awards night.
However, the Nigerian did not travel by himself. He is in town along with Chris Odeh, a Ghanaian director who will also conduct a masterclass later on today.
