Academic Registrar Nkumba University, Christine Obonyo Kyayonka.

Nkumba University is opening a new campus in Kampala to easy access for students who find it hard to travel to Entebbe where the main campus is located.

The Academic Registrar Nkumba University, Christine Obonyo Kyayonka says the new campus will officially open in August 2015 for normal academic business. She says a number of courses will be offered at the new campus.

“Degree courses in Business Administration, Development studies, Education, Human Resource Management, Procurement and Logistics Management are some of the courses that will be taught”, Christine Obonyo says.

“We shall start with courses/programmes that do not require laboratories and science courses will come later but all the others offered by the different schools shall be offered”, Prof. Wilson Muyinda Mande, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Nkumba University told Campus Times.

He added that they decided to move to Kampala because many students would love to study at Nkumba university but the means of traveling to the main campus in Entebbe for the evening or weekend classes is a challenge.

Nkumba University new campus in Kampala is located at Mengo on Kabakanjagala road.
