While reading the Vice chancellor’s speech, Prof. Wilson Muyinda Mande advised graduates to go for further studies and not rest.
“Move up other steps as far as learning is concerned, A person who stops learning stops existing. Those who have received certificates; come back for diplomas those awarded diplomas come back for degrees and those awarded degrees come back for master as those with masters think of PhDs…you still have many steps to cover”, Prof. Wilson Muyinda Mande told the graduates.
He added that the step the graduates have attained is only a beginning and that learning does not end.
Prof Mande also told the graduates to seek employment and at the same time seek to create their own jobs.
“As you leave the university gates and join the wider society you will be told that you need to be a job creator and not a job seeker but I advise you to try both”, he says.
His Worship Kayanja Vincent De’paul, the Lord Mayor of Entebbe Municipality who was the chief guest at the graduation ceremony encouraged Nkumba university to create partnerships with Entebbe Municipality so that the institution serves the community more and find home grown solutions to the challenges.
