Nkumba University in fundraising drive for a modern administration building

Nkumba University is undertaking a fundraising drive for the construction of a new modern Administration Building.

During last year’s fundraising Dinner hosted by the University Chancellor, Sir Gordon Wavamunno, shillings 137,245,000 was raised. The dinner was attended by Alumni, Friends and staff of the Nkumba University at UMA Show Grounds, New Hall, Lugogo.

Nkumba University staff and Alumni earlier made contributions in cement worth Ushs. 11,159,000/-.

“The dinner constituted an ongoing process towards infrastructural development in respect to lecture rooms as well as other structures vital to the academic development of the University,” said Assoc. Prof. Hannington Sengedo, University Vice Chancellor.

The new Administration Building shall house offices of various staff of the University, including that of the Chancellor and the Vice Chancellor, among others.

All Alumni and Friends of Nkumba University are urged to honor their pledges and support the noble cause of putting up the new Administration Building.

The next fundraising Dinner will be held in January 2014
